The SU volleyball team received its third straight bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship on Monday (Nov. 5) by receiving one of 19 Pool C at-large bids.

Austin College will be the host institution with all South Region matches being played in Sherman, TX. The regional includes the Pirates, Austin, Trinity University, Washington & Lee University, Texas Lutheran University, Piedmont College and Emory University. Southwestern will be the fourth seed at the regional and will face Washington & Lee in the opening round. The Pirates have already defeated WLU in four games this season. The winner of the match will go on to face #1 seed Trinity in the second round.

The Pirates finished the regular season with a 29-11 record and finished third in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
