Southwestern women golfers Marisa Mauldin (Utopia, TX/Utopia HS) and Delilah Dominguez (Bastrop, TX/Bastrop HS) will take part in the Best Buy Charity Golf Classic being held on Friday (Jun. 27) in Minneapolis, MN.

The event is being held at Prestwick Golf Club while the U.S. Women's Open is taking place at Interlachen Country Club in Minneapolis from June 26-29. The 2007-08 Duramed FUTURES Tour NGCA All-American Team from NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III were all invited to participate in the event as well as the PING NGCA Player of the Year and NGCA Freshman of the Year from Divisions II and III.

Mauldin finished the season as a First Team All-American while Dominguez was an Honorable Mention selection. Sophomore Kristen Davenport (Mansfield, TX/Mansfield HS) was also invited but will not be participating.

The golfers will all be honored at a gala on Thursday (Jun. 26) and then play a scramble on Friday morning followed by an awards luncheon. Then, on Saturday (Jun 28), the golfers will have the opportunity to attend the U.S. Open.
