Sophomore Kristen Davenport (Mansfield, TX/Mansfield HS) has been selected to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District At-Large First Team that was announced on Thursday (May 22).

Davenport boasts a cumulative grade point average of 3.87 while majoring in psychology. The sophomore helped the Pirates finish third at the NCAA Division III National Championships this season and a fourth place finish last year. Davenport was named Second Team All-America for the 2007-2008 season and has twice earned All-Region honors. As a first-year, she was honored as an NGCA All-American Scholar. Davenport is also a two-time All-SCAC Second Team performer.

The ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District teams are selected through voting by the College Sports Information Directors of America. All members of the Academic All-District First Team are eligible for the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America team.
