Sophomore Marisa Mauldin (Utopia, TX/Utopia HS) has been named to the Duramed FUTURES Tour NGCA Division III All-American Second Team for the 2006-2007 season and is joined by teammate Kristen Davenport (Mansfield, TX/Mansfield HS) as All-Region selections.

Mauldin had a stellar season as she was the Pirates top-finisher in four tournaments during the season. She earned Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Golfer of the Year and first team All-SCAC laurels as she took first place at the SCAC Championship, helping SU to its first conference championship since 1999.

At the NCAA Championship, Mauldin tied for 15th out of 111 competitors as she helped Southwestern to a fourth place finish out of 20 teams. Her efforts this season also earned her recognition as an All-Region selection for the Great Lakes Region.

Davenport receives her All-Region recognition after a first-year campaign that saw her rack up four top-five finishes. Three times she was the Pirates top-finisher, winning one individual title at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Fall Invitational. She was a second team All-SCAC performer, tying for ninth at the SCAC Championship.
