The Southwestern women's golf team has moved up to fourth in the Golfstat NCAA Division III Head-to-Head Standings that were released Wednesday (Mar. 26).

The Pirates trail defending national champion Methodist University, Gustavus Adolphus College and the University of St. Thomas. The move up to fourth gives the Pirates a solid chance at an at-large bid to the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships in Waverly, IA should the Pirates not repeat as Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference champions.

The jump in the standings came after Southwestern finished fourth at the Jekyll Island Women's Collegiate, ahead of the numbers five, six, seven, eight and 10 teams in the new standings.
