On Saturday (Apr. 12), the SU women's golf team hosted a tri-match at Teravista against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Trinity University and came away with a 26-stroke victory. Junior Delilah Dominguez (Bastrop, TX/Bastrop HS) finished with the lowest round by five strokes, posting a score of 75. Junior Marisa Mauldin (Utopia, TX/Utopia HS) and sophomore Kristen Davenport (Mansfield, TX/Mansfield HS) both tied for second with identical scores of 80. In fourth place was Victoria Dominguez (Bastrop, TX/Bastrop HS) with a tally of 82. Cody Wallace (Austin, TX/Lake Travis HS), a sophomore, came in ninth with an 89. As a team, the Pirates shot 317 to pick up the win. UMHB finished second with a 343 and Trinity finished the round with a 370. Trinity was ranked 27th and UMHB was 37th in the latest Golfstat Head-to-Head rankings. The next tournament on the schedule for Southwestern is the SCAC Spring Sports Festival being held in Indianapolis, IN from April 25 through April 27.
