Junior Natasha Azizi (Katy, TX/Cinco Ranch HS) was selected to the All-SCAC Third Team and senior Beth Thomas (Houston, TX/Clear Lake HS) was an Honorable Mention selection for the SU women's basketball team as the teams were announced on Saturday (Mar. 1) at the SCAC conference tournament in Conway, AR.

Azizi finished the season averaging 11.9 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. She was the Pirates' top-scorer and was third on the team in rebounding. The junior forward also had 40 assists, 19 blocked shots and 21 steals. Her shooting percentage of .548 was good for third in the SCAC. Last season, Azizi was an Honorable Mention selection.

Thomas finished her senior season as the Pirates' second-leading scorer, averaging 10.6 points per game. She was also the top rebounder for SU, pulling down six boards per contest. Thomas finished the season second in the conference in field goal percentage at .582 and she trailed only SCAC Player of the Year Katie Kulavic in that category. She also had 24 steals, 13 blocks and 22 assists. This is her first All-SCAC award.
