A record three Southwestern University men's soccer players earned All-South Central Region honors for the 2007 season while one was named Scholar All-South Region. Junior forward David Lozano (Austin, TX/University of Dayton) was a First Team honoree. During the 2007 season, Lozano netted eight goals along with three assists for 19 points. Six of his eight goals and two of his assists came in SCAC contests. Lozano earned First Team All-Conference honors this season. Senior midfielder Kyle Strine (Houston, TX/Klein Oak HS) was a Second Team selection. Strine was third on the team in goals (6) and points (15) this season while also tying for the team lead in assists with three. He also had one game-winning goal this season. Strine was a First Team All-SCAC selection. Senior defender Troy Hutchcens (Stillwater, OK/Stillwater HS) earned Third Team honors for his play this season. Hutchens was a solid defender all season for the Pirates and added two assists for SU during the year. Junior defender Kevin O'Neil (San Antonio, TX/Churchill HS) was Southwestern's first ever Scholar All-Region honoree this season. During the year, O'Neil scored one goal and had one assist. He also has maintained a 4.0 grade point average.
