Hayes started 7 games and appeared in a total of 22 games logging a total of 266 minutes on the floor, he also started 6 of 11 games in SCAC play for a total of 149 minutes...averaged 2.6 points scoring a total of 57 in his rookie season...in SCAC play averaged 3.4 points per game...was 16-36 on the year for a shooting percentage of .444 ranking 7th on the team and 11-20 for a .550 percentage in the SCAC...was credited with 6 blocks and 3 steals on the year...also averaged 2.3 rebounds for a total of 50 rebounds on the year ranking 5th on the team in rebound average...led the team with 7 rebounds vs. Trinity (Feb. 9) and led the team and had a career game high 8 rebounds vs. Hendrix (Feb. 17).

Hayes was a Texas Scholar, the 2006 school MVP, the Defensive MVP in 2005 and was selected to the All-Tournament team in Corpus Christi...also lettered in football for the Rangers at Clements HS.

Ross is the son of Dale and Kimberly Hayes...born on April 10, 1988...has one brother - London...is a biology and pre-medicine major.
