2007-2008 (Sophomore Year)
Cross Country: As the Pirates' Newcomer of the Year, Gideon was a top-5 finisher for the team in all six meets and top-2 finisher in 3 of those meets. His best finish was at the Texas D-III State Championships where he finished 11th out of 71 and ran 28:30.00 for the 8k.

High School
Prior to coming to Southwestern, Gideon's best times are 58.8 in the 400m, 2:07 in the 800m, 4:40 in the 1600m, 10:07 in the 3200m, 6:16 in the 2000m Steeplechase, 16:37 in the 5k, and 35:45 in the 10k. In the 2003, 2004, and 2005 cross country seasons, Gideon earned All-District honors and was a Regional Qualifier. He was also cross country team captain in 2005 and track team captain in 2006.
