Southwestern University senior Jameson Otto (Carrollton, TX/Creekview HS) was named the SCAC Runner of the Week, the second time he has received the honor, for his performance at the Texas Lutheran Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 14) in Seguin, TX.

Running in a mixed field of NCAA D-I, D-II, D-III, NAIA, Junior College, and one foreign collegiate team, Otto ran a season-best time of 26:17 for 8K in the race.

In a field that included nine teams and 74 athletes, Otto ran a very aggressive race and stayed with the lead pack throughout the race. He was the first NCAA Division III athlete to cross the finish line.
