Chris Norris (Katy, TX/Katy HS), a senior sprinter, has been selected the SCAC Men's Track Athlete-of-the-Week for meets conducted Saturday, March 1 through Saturday, March 22.

Norris opened his 2008 season with a win and provisional qualifier for NCAA D-III nationals in the 100 meter dash with a finishing time of 10.78.

Competing in four outdoor meets to date, Norris has won one individual track event, placed second in one individual track event, and third in one individual rack event. His best times in the 100 and 200 this season are 10.78 and 22.20 respectively.

Norris also helped the Southwestern University 4x100m relay team lower the SU record in this event twice this outdoor season.

This past weekend (3/22/08) at the Baylor University Dr. Pepper Invitational, he placed second in the 100, and fourth in the 200.
