Southwestern University swimmers broke three more school records on Friday (Nov. 30) at the Miami University Invitational in Oxford, OH.

The 400 yard medley relay pairing of Bailey Thompson (Garland, TX/Garland HS), Alana Bergfield (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia/The Cranbrook School), Sam Kessler (Austin, TX/Westwood HS) and Jessie Carrier (Victoria, TX/St. Joseph HS) broke the former school record by 5.25 second with a time of 4:06.19. Thompson set a new mark in the 100 yard backstroke, finishing in 1:00.43. She broke former Pirate Jessica Lovorn's record of 1:01.00, which was Lovorn's time when she won SU's first ever SCAC Championship in a swimming event. Kessler broke her own record in the 200 yard butterfly with a 2:17.32. It was the third time Kessler has broken the record so far this season.
