Head Coach Steve Brandt Steve Brandt, a former NCAA Division III All-American swimmer, joined the Southwestern University family as head swimming coach in the summer of 2005. Since his arrival at Southwestern, the Pirates have recorded five SCAC individual conference championships and set one SCAC meet record. Additionally, in 2007, two Pirates were the first swimmers in the programs' history to post NCAA provisional qualifying times. Including his one year as an assistant coach, Brandt has seen 22 varsity records fall. Coach Brandt joined Southwestern after serving as the Assistant Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Coach at Emory University. While coaching at Emory, he helped lead the program to top four NCAA Division III finishes in all four years, including three second-place finishes. Prior to his time at Emory, Brandt served as a Graduate Assistant coach at NCAA Division I Purdue University. Brandt is a 1998 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Emory University where he was an NCAA All-American, UAA Conference Champion and 11-time All Conference honoree. Coach Brandt and his wife Ally reside in Georgetown. |
