Swam butterfly and backstroke events at the 2007 SCAC Championships. Recorded lifetime best times in all three events (100 fly, 200 fly and 200 back).

Rives was a three year letterwoman at Dobie High School. Was named MVP in 2003-2004, 2004-2005 and 2005-2006.
