Charles Nelson, former Southwestern University tennis coach, passed away on Tuesday (Jun. 17).

A visitation is being held on Thursday (Jun. 19) from 6:00-8:00 pm at The Gabriel's Funeral Chapel and a mass of Christian burial will take place Friday (Jun. 20) at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church.

Coach Nelson was a valued member of the Pirate Athletic Department from the fall of 1995 until his retirement in 2002. His contributions to the SU tennis programs were immeasurable.
